To those of you who are coffee drinkers, you are going to love this episode of Healthy Lean Life. So many times I hear people say “yeah, I’m trying to cut back on drinking coffee this year.” But after today you may just reconsider.
While I don’t join in on the morning java due to taste preference, I know I’m the exception; not the rule…and it is just that, a taste preference.
But to you I know what that cup of coffee means to you. It’s hot, it’s stimulating, it wakes you up…it’s your morning ritual.
Let’s dive into some of the reasons why there are health benefits of coffee:
Number 1: Caffeine Stimulates Metabolism
Number 2: Source of Antioxidants
Number #3 – Lowers Women’s Cancer Risk
Number #4 – Lower Risk for Melanoma
Number #5 Fights Depression
Number #6 Boosts Memory
Number #7 Improves Cardiovascular Health
Number #8 Protects the Liver
Number #9 Prevents Diabetes Type 2 Risk
Number #10 Increases Longevity
Number #11 – Improve Physical Performance
We’ve talked about all the benefits of coffee and I do think it’s important to just skim over what not to do.
These things will keep you from gaining the health and lean body you deserve so don’t let them rob you of your success just for short-term pleasure:
- Having lattes, blended coffee drinks, coolattas, and whipped cream on top of your coffee will steal your success
- What you put in your coffee after you receive it can be a game changer…so if you put high fat milk, cream and sugar in coffee then it may stop your progress.
- Stay under 5 cups a day
- If coffee is effecting your sleep then cut back (risk benefit)
- If you feel jittery, unfocused, nauseated, you’ve overdone it.
